About UNITED Futures

  • The Futures Program is a developmental program for high potential middle school athletes (2027-2030s). The training program intends to provide young athletes in the valley the opportunity to improve their lacrosse skills and IQ prior to taking their game to the next level and joining the UNITED high school recruiting focused teams. This is not a travel team, but athletes in the Futures program have opportunity join the UNITED high school teams as they enter their freshman year.

  • In order to ensure similar skill level among the group, athletes must be selected to participate in the UNITED Futures Program.

    Athlete Evaluations for the UNITED Futures Program will take place on February 5th.

  • All athletes must be rostered on a club team to participate in UNITED Futures. Athletes must be able to attend the majority of practices and be committed to learning and growing.

  • The Futures Program consists of bi-weekly training sessions coached by United coaches and United high school athletes.

    The Spring 2023 training dates are:

    February 19th

    March 12th, 26th

    April 2nd, 16th, and 30th

UNITED Futures Fundamentals

Pillar I: Stickwork

Stickwork is a critical skill that is required to excel in the sport of lacrosse. It is the foundation that the game is built on. The UNITED Futures program focuses on developing proper stick skills and emphasizes the importance of being able to catch and throw using both hands.

Pillar II: Athleticism

Lacrosse is a sport that requires a lot of change of direction, speed, and endurance. The UNITED Futures program provides speed, agility, and conditioning training to increase athleticism across all positions.

Pillar III: Lacrosse IQ

Having good lacrosse IQ takes your game to the next level. Lacrosse IQ is the ability to read, recognize, and react to situations on the field. The UNTIED Futures program provides game-like drills and elite level coaching to enhance athletes’ lacrosse IQ.
